EPFO is one of the World’s largest Social Security Organisations in terms of clientele and the volume of financial transactions undertaken. At present it maintains 27.74 crore accounts (Annual Report 2021-22) pertaining to its members. The Employees’ Provident Fund came into existence with the promulgation of the Employees’ Provident Funds Ordinance on the 15th November, 1951. It was replaced by the Employees’ Provident Funds Act, 1952. The Employees’ Provident Funds Bill was introduced in the Parliament as Bill Number 15 of the year 1952 as a Bill to provide for the institution of provident funds for employees in factories and other establishments.

EPFO Recruitment Application Fees 2023
The candidates from Gen/OBC/EWS category have to pay Rs. 700/- (Rupees seven hundred only) through online mode.
However, the candidates who are from SC/ST/PwD/Female/Ex Servicemen category have to pay Rs. 0/- (Rupees zero only)
EPFO Recruitment 2023 Salary Details
1. For Social Security Assistant (Group C) – Scale of Pay: Level-5 (Rs.29, 200-92,300) in the Pay Matrix.
In addition to Pay they will also be eligible for allowances as per rules in force from time to time. The total salary per month will be inclusive of this fixed pay and some additional benefits
2. For Stenographer (Group C) – Scale of Pay: Level-4 in the Pay Matrix [Rs.25,500-81,100 ]

EPFO Recruitment Age Limit 2023
The age limit for EPFO Recruitment is 18-27 years. The age Relaxation will be given as per the rules of the Government.
Age Relaxation:-
1. SC/ST up to 5 years,
2. OBC-NCL up to 3 years
3. The upper age limit for Government Servant or Employees of Employees Provident Fund Organization up to forty years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government. As per the instructions issued by Govt. of India in the prescribed format in support of claim (Annexure VIII).

Educational Qualifications:
- For the post of Social Security Assistant – ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATIONAL: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from recognised university or institute. NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
- For the post of Stenographer – ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATIONAL: 12th pass from a recognised University or Equivalent.
